The Yuan dynasty was a Mongol-led empire that ruled China from 1271 to 1368. It was founded by Kublai Khan, the grandson of Genghis Khan, who conquered the Song dynasty and unified most of China under his rule. The Yuan dynasty collapsed in 1368 after a series of rebellions, natural disasters, and internal conflicts.
